Weight loss doesn’t have to be a journey that’s taken alone. Dr. Anjenette Sorapuru and the experts at Santé MD Wellness Center utilize modern methods to provide life-changing medical weight loss while walking their patients through the process with care and understanding.

Did you always know you wanted to be in this field? What inspired you to pursue this path?

As my career matured, I developed a passion for medical weight loss and the negative effects of obesity on our health. The cause of obesity is complex and the journey to weight loss can be cumbersome. My biggest inspiration is the determination of my patients to restore their health and get their lives back on track.

What were you surprised to learn about medical weight loss once you got into the industry?

I was most surprised to find out just how many different facets of our health can be affected by obesity, such as hormonal abnormalities, depression, hair loss, and sexual dysfunction, just to name a few.

How has technology impacted your ability to deliver great results?

Technology has allowed me to more accurately diagnose my patients and monitor their ongoing progress, both in-office and through our at-home telemedicine platform.

5 Benefits of Medical Weight Loss

  • The methods are unique to your body’s chemistry.
  • This approach can change the way your body loses weight.
  • Acts as an appetite suppressant while boosting your metabolism and helps normalize sex hormones such as testosterone. Testosterone aids in enhancing lean muscle mass, improving sexual dysfunction, infertility, performance, and endurance.
  • Enhances energy due to the body’s increased ability to properly process blood sugar and food.
  • Helps burn off excessive fat deposits in areas such as the arms, abdomen, and thighs. Excess fat can constrict blood flow, putting more stress on the heart and increasing the risk of numerous medical conditions. Less fat and decreased constriction allows blood to easily flow through the heart.
