An enjoyable Monday night

BNLFriday here! Usually, I will post on Thursdays, but I could not get to this until now.
Last Monday night, I went to the Barenaked Ladies concert at Chastain Park Amphitheater. I haven’t been there is a couple years, and I forgot how much I enjoy watching a show there. Plus, for a change, the weather wasn’t incredibly hot. It was kind of last minute, so we didn’t get a chance to pack a full cooler.
I have been to about five or so BNL concerts, but this was the first one since the main lead singer (they had two) left the band. I think they definitely misses his voice, but they still put on a fun show, which my group definitely enjoyed. For those who are familiar with BNL, they are a popular Canadian band that hit their stride in the late 90s and early 2000. While their CDs are pretty cut and dry, their concerts have a lot of improvising and humorous chatting among the band members during the show. They will occasionally do “their” version of a popular song. This time they did a rendition of Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind.” So, if you get a chance, check them out some time.

Here are my top 5 BNL songs:
1. Straw Hat and Old Dirty Hank
2. Brian Wilson
3. The Old Apartment
4. Enid
5. Pinch Me
