Is your neighborhood making you fat? Well, it’s not as simple as that, but it could be a factor. At the Museum of Design Atlanta, the new “Designing Healthy Communities” exhibit explores how our physical environments impact our health and well-being. For example, many areas of town are laid out in ways that encourage residents to drive instead of walk or stay home instead of interacting with neighbors. But it doesn’t have to be that way! This interactive exhibit, opening on April 19, shows the huge variety of design strategies that can make our communities more accessible and healthier for everyone.
