It’s no secret: obesity rates in America today, especially amongst our children, are alarmingly high. So high that First Lady Michelle Obama has put it on the top of her priorities list since occupying the White House.
The best way to prevent obesity and weight gain is by establishing healthy eating habits and living an active lifestyle early on. Now here’s the CATCH. Starting the first week of August, the Metro Atlanta RSVP Volunteer Program will begin training adults age 50 and up to lead K-5 children to form healthy lifestyle habits.
CATCH Healthy Habits Program volunteers will be responsible for leading activities and games, preparing sacks, collecting data and more, both on and behind-the-scenes. Training sessions are to take place in Brookhaven, Decatur and other Atlanta-area locations.
