By Intisar Seraaj-Sabree

Grab a slice or a whole pie of pizza to support charity. Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria (300 Marietta St., Atlanta, GA) is celebrating October’s National Pizza Month with the creations of local artists, musicians, athletes and media personalities on the menu to support their charity of choice.

In the name of National Pizza Month there will be specialty pizzas designed by CNN’s Holly Firfer, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Jennifer Brett, the Atlanta Falcons’ Mike Peterson, Southern Ground recording artist Sonia Leigh, Jessica Shops’ Jessica Dauler and Witty + Pretty’s Ashley Hesseltine.

Pick your choice of a $4 or $19 pizza that will benefit the creator’s charity of choice. Benefiting charities include Camp Southern Ground, LifeLine Animal Project, Victoria Stilwell Foundation and Kate’s Club.
