Q: What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
A: As a fifth grade teacher I rarely get a day off. If and when I do, I have two ways I love to spend it. The first is to sleep late and hang out at home cooking, watching TV or reading a page turner. My second choice would be to spend time with my children.
Q: How do you make more time for yourself?
A: By scheduling it and writing it in my calendar.
Q: What is a must-see movie for you?
A: When I was younger I used to make it my goal to see every Oscar nominated film before the Oscars. Then, as life and kids took over, I stopped. So my goal is to see them all this year.
Q: What advice do you have for someone who wants to have more “me” time?
A: Be organized about it. Take it and don’t feel guilty about it!
Q: Who do you like to spend your free time with?
A: After my husband, Kurt, and my children, it’s my girlfriends, Sherri, Mary, Verdery and Boo.
Q: Who are the people that help you be your best self?
A: Natalia, at Kendrick & Co., who keeps my hair looking great. Janey, Jake and Jennifer at Get In Shape For Women in East Cobb are doing their best to help me get my body in shape, post-hip replacement.
