Day 1 of Pink: Paint the Mall Pink

To kick off our 30 Days of Pink blog series, we thought, “Why start with just one event, when we could start with a whole weekend?” So we chose to Paint the Mall Pink!

Celebrate women’s health and raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Town Center at Cobb’s third annual Paint the Mall Pink weekend-long event. Paint the Mall Pink kicks off on Thursday and doesn’t end until Sunday afternoon.

The event starts with a bang on October 2 with the Pink Window Display Contest. Throughout the weekend, participating stores in the mall will go all out to decorate their store windows with pink displays. paint the mall pinkThen photos of the stores will be put on Town Center at Cobb’s Facebook page so shoppers can vote and pick their favorites. The contest will close at 6 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Then on Thursday night, Spirit Girls Night Out begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Center Court of the mall, giving ladies the chance to put on their favorite little black dress and have a good time. The event includes free health screenings provided by WellStar, goody bags, door prizes, a fashion show and beauty demonstrations.

But the pink fun doesn’t stop there.  Glow the Mall Pink Midnight Madness 5K will be held on Saturday, October 4. Runners and walkers are invited to glow the night away at this late-night race. There will be a huge after-party to follow with dancing, food and music.

And last but not least, the mall will host a PINK OUT on Saturday, October 4. Shoppers are encouraged to wear pink and take advantage of the complimentary health screenings that  WellStar is offering in the Center Court of the mall from 2 to 6 p.m.

All of the Paint the Mall Pink events are free to the public, excluding the entry fees for Glow the Mall Pink Midnight Madness 5K. So spend your weekend shopping while raising money for breast cancer research at Town Center at Cobb!
