What do attendees need to know before class starts?

For this class, you will need a yoga mat, comfortable pants, and no shoes are necessary. Karen will provide you with the other things you will need for this class.

How would you describe this workout? How does it compare to similar classes you’ve taken?

This class focuses on the rejuvenation of the body specifically one’s fascia. Your fascia is fluid in our bodies that support the bones, muscles, nerves, and organs. During class, we used tennis balls to treat our fascia in our hands, legs, feet, shoulders, and more! It was crazy to see how one area you treat on your body will impact another with just the use of a tennis ball. This class isn’t like anything I’ve done before. I would say it resembles yoga mostly, but with an emphasis on stretching and stimulating your joints.

What muscle groups did this class work the most? Was it a great workout for your abs, butt, arms, etc.?

This class targeted our fascia/connective tissue that in turn benefits the muscles. The movements we learned in class were allowing our nervous system to take over and control the movements rather than putting that strain on our bodies like we typically do during many workouts.

Did the instructor do anything to make the class extra special?

Karen is extremely passionate about this rejuvenation methodology. She strongly believes learning to take care of our bodies and having the discipline to do so, is a workout itself. Karen taught us a whole different way of viewing the body and showed us by just doing this once how much our bodies reap the benefits. The changes you begin to feel just after a few moments with Karen are actually incredible. She may just be a miracle worker!

What was the most enjoyable part of the workout?

I really enjoyed watching and feeling my body change and relieve so much pressure in so little time. Instantly, my arms were longer, by back was less stiff, my mind was cleared. I was amazed to see what little time it took to really care for my body’s fascia and am really eager to do these workouts at home, and frequently, thanks to Karen.

Any other feedback you’d like to give about this workout?

You must go see Karen if you are having any discomfort or looking for new ways to listen to your body. She will gladly give you the tools you need in order to feel your body and help it change.
