Day 30 of 30 Days of Pink: A Big Thank You!

As 30 Days of Pink comes to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the partners and supporters of our Band Together Against Breast Cancer Initiative. With their help, and the help of everyone who purchased a pink head band over the past few months, we were able to raise $5,000 to go directly to Susan G Komen Greater Atlanta.band together against breast cancer

Komen Atlanta provides clinical breast exams, mammograms and biopsies for uninsured men and women of Atlanta, as well as conducting research and raising awareness about breast cancer.  With the $5,000 we have donated, Komen will be able to provide 28 mammograms, 2 biopsies and 20 clinical breast exams to the men and women of Atlanta.

We at Best Self Atlanta are so thrilled we could make this impact on breast cancer in Atlanta, but we know we would not have been able to accomplish it without our partners and sponsors banding together with us to make it happen. So thank you to our sponsors Kaiser Permanente, Atlanta Home Improvement Magazine, Gardner Dermatology & Med Spa, Premier Image and Cosmetic Surgery and Vein Clinics of America for helping us kick off this initiative back in May at Race for the Cureribbon

We would also like to thank the Concourse Athletic Club for hosting out Band Together photo shoot and networking party where we banded together with the following businesses: Ackerman Security, Diagnostic Radiology Ultrasound and Breast Center, Elaine Sterling Institute, Handcrafted Homes, Institut’ DERMed, Modani Furniture, Noland, Northside Facial Plastic Surgery, Pink Barre and Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia.

We would also like to thank you, the reader, for following along with our 30 Days of Pink blog series! We hope that you learned something new about breast cancer and were able to participate in some of the great events that have happened in Atlanta over the last month!
