As the beginning of summer slowly approaches, we are often guilty of falling victim to the inevitable sense of relaxation that summer brings. Exercise and diet routines become nonexistent and fast food can become a regular part of our summer menu.
But as we kick back for the start of summer, Dole has found a way to introduce a new initiative that promotes eating nutritious snacks and doing fun, upbeat exercise to families across America.
This summer Dole is launching an eight-city sampling tour to encourage families across America to make healthier food choices and implement exercise into their daily lives.
Dole’s “Shake It Up” summer tour will be introducing two new products, Dole fruit smoothie shakers and Dole frozen fruit single serve cups, made with all-natural frozen fruit. Dole’s summer tour will begin in New York and then travel to Atlanta on May 26 at Atlantic Station from 12 to 6 p.m.
Dole has teamed up with local Boys and Girls club chapters to provide healthy snacks to kids during the summer. With a donation goal of 100,000 nutritious snacks to the Boys and Girls club of Metro Atlanta, Dole hopes to combat the growing epidemic of childhood obesity and help kids create healthy eating habits that last all summer long.
