All throughout the month of July Chastain Park will screen free movies on the lawn every Thursday night. The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, which produces the Chastain Park Arts Festival and Festival on Ponce, among others, will host the Chastain Park Summer Movie series.
Make sure to head to the hilltop meadow just off Park Drive to view the films. This is a fun way to spend time with friends and family or have a romantic evening for two. Make sure to bring a blanket, however leave lawn chairs and the picnic baskets at home. There will be local food trucks that will surround the lawn providing food, beer, and wine.
Chastain Park’s movies on the lawn line up for the featured movies will include:
- The Artist on July 5
- Mirror, Mirror on July 12
- Letters from Juliet on July 19
- Breakfast at Tiffany’s on July 26
This event is free and is located at 4469 Stella Drive Northwest, Atlanta, GA.
If Chastain Park is out of your way try Atlantic Station or Johns Creek, both movie events are free and start at sundown. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and have a movie night at one of these locations. For more information visit www.gamoviesinthepark.com
