Josh Johnston, OD, from Georgia Eye Partners answers a reader’s question about eye health:

Q: My eyes get dry, irritate, and occasionally they itch and burn. They seem to be getting worse as I get older. I use over-the-counter eye drops to help, but I’m finding myself using them all the time now. Is something going on with my eyes?

A: For some, these types of symptoms can be temporary, but those with Chronic Dry Eye Disease (CDE) may find symptoms worsen over time. Dry eye, which also causes blurred vision and tearing, is a very common eye problem affecting an estimated 25 million people in the U.S. Over-the-counter drops don’t treat underlying inflammation that causes CDE. There are better therapeutics for treating CDE like Restasis, which is a prescription medication proven to increase tear production.

Dr. Robert M. Harper from Marietta Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center answers a reader’s question about sunscreen selection:

Q: What should I look for in a sunscreen? I apply first thing every morning but am still getting color and areas of discoloration.

A: When selecting a sunscreen, look for a product that states on the bottle “UVA/UVB broad-spectrum coverage of at least 30+.” Another significant fact is that the ingredients needed to maintain the integrity of coverage only last approximately three to three and a half hours, so reapplication is key even on overcast days, as the sun is always shining. Also remember sunscreen should be applied 15 to 20 minutes prior to sun exposure for optimum results and to prevent further sun damage to the skin.

Productivity coach Peggy Duncan is here to give you her best advice on how to find more free time in your day.

What is the best strategy for making the most of the time you have each day?
Figure out the smartest way to work. If you’re obsessed with email, don’t turn to it until you’ve done the main thing you wanted to get done that day.

What is one way to gain an extra hour in the day?
Get organized! With an overloaded inbox, you could easily waste hours a day searching for information instead of getting to it in one or two clicks.

What is a mistake people make when planning their day?
You should have a plan for the week and review the next day’s plan the day or night before. Using an email client such as Outlook will help you manage all this in one place.

How can people make more free time in their week?
Keep everything organized. You can create logical folders for your inbox and file messages, flag messages for follow-up with reminders, and also categorize them to keep similar messages that require similar actions together.

What is the biggest time waster?
Using your inbox for storage which causes you to constantly search for messages instead of being able to go right to what you need.

Fox 5‘s Katie Beasley is here to give you her best advice on how to find more free time in your day.

What is the best strategy for making the most of the time you have each day?
Have a plan for every day. I have a 40-minute commute to work, and I use the time alone in my car to plan out my day and get my thoughts organized.

What is one way to gain an extra hour in the day?
Get up and go to bed one hour earlier. You’ll miss traffic and have extra time built in at the beginning of your day and in the evenings. DVR that favorite show for the weekend.

What is a mistake people make when planning their day?
Not checking the weather before you leave. Knowing what to expect and what to wear can change by the minute.

How can people make more free time in their week?
Making a daily or a weekly to do list can help keep you organized and help save you time when you’re running around.

What is the biggest time waster?
Traffic has to be the number one time waster. Many Atlanta commuters spend one hour a day in traffic. WAZE is a traffic app we promote that can save time and money.

Warm weather and lazy weekends may signal just the right time to get out of town and seek a new adventure. Take a trip to Biltmore Winery in Asheville, NC this summer and enjoy a behind-the-scenes view of the estate’s wine production in the new Vine to Wine tour. Offered every weekend through October, this tour brings wine drinkers of all ages (21 and older, of course) up close to the action, as guests take a trip through the vineyards, walk the production floor, and take a peek at the cellars.

The winery’s unique architecture may remind guests of a quaint old dairy barn because, well, it used to be one. Richard Morris Hunt, the architect for Biltmore House, originally designed and completed the home and barn in 1895. Years later, William A.V. Cecil, the grandson of Biltmore’s original owner George W. Vanderbilt, decided to convert the dairy barn into a winery to keep the estate self-sufficient.

The vineyard, established in 1971, opened to the public in 1985. It offers a wide variety of grapes, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, mroe than 250 tons of which are hand-picked annually for production. After the tour, Biltmore guests can enjoy a glass of wine at the local wine bar, or shopping and fine dining in the Antler Hill Village. The two hour and 15 minute tour is offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:45 p.m. The tour is $85 per person.

Atlanta doctors answer your questions.

Dr. Louis D. Cole from Cole Dermatology and Aesthetic Center answers a reader’s question about smoker’s lines:

Q: Is there any new treatment for fine lines around a woman’s mouth, which are sometimes referred to as smoker’s lines?

A: There is a new product on the market called Belotero. It is a unique HA (hyaluronic acid) dermal filler that allows trained physicians to effectively treat these lines with success. When coupled with a botulinum toxin A, such as Botox, Dysport or Xeomin, the results are very good.

August is a great month to enjoy delicious summer squash from your local grocer or farmers market. This diverse veggie comes in four different forms: crookneck, zucchini (green and yellow), straightneck and scallop. No matter which one you choose, they are all high in vitamins C, A and niacin. Using your favorite variety, try this easy-to-make pasta meal that includes creamy white beans and a tangy dressing to finish it off.

1/2 lb. whole wheat farfalle or fusilli

4 small zucchini and/or yellow squash (about 1 lb.), halved lengthwise and thinly sliced

3/4 cup feta cheese crumbles

1/4 cup Greek or Italian dressing

1 (15 oz.) can organic cannellini beans, rinsed and drained

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until just al dente, 8 to 10 minutes. Meanwhile, arrange zucchini in the bottom of a large colander. To drain, pour pasta and its water over vegetables and let sit for 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer contents of colander to a large bowl, add cheese, dressing and beans, and toss well. Serve warm or cold.
