Six Flags Over Georgia Honors Top Volunteers

By Krysta Wilkins

Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved in your local neighborhood or city and a great way to give back to the community at the same time! Every year more than one million people volunteer in metro Atlanta, contributing 154 million hours of community service to the city. These volunteers, or local heroes, are the key components in making Atlanta communities better places to live.

Often, we take for granted the efforts and steps taken by the volunteers who make our community a better place. In order to show appreciation for these volunteers, Six Flags Over Georgia is searching for the top hard working individual and is looking to reward them for all that they do in Atlanta communities and neighborhoods.

As a reward for this selfless samaritan, Six Flags Over Georgia is giving the top volunteer four complimentary park tickets in addition to 50 park tickets that are to be donated to the charity of the winner’s choice.

If you or someone you know continuously does their part to improve their community, submit a volunteer story at Do Good, Get Rewards.

Submissions for the top volunteers are now being accepted and the winner is to be announced August 15, 2012.
