Warmer weather is finally upon us! Take advantage of any opportunity to get outside and soak up some sun. Cane Creek Farm presents an ideal spot for those ready to learn more about nature and develop a greener thumb. With over four acres of fields overflowing with vegetables, flowers, fruit trees, berries and more than 200 shiitake mushroom logs, this is fertile ground for gardening education. This farm’s Lunch ‘N Learn series takes place every second Wednesday of the month and includes a lunch made with farm-fresh ingredients. Guests leave with information on a variety of gardening topics such as vegetable and flower transplanting, planting organic beds, using herbs in the kitchen and more. The farm also offers more in-depth instruction on sustainable, chemical-free gardening techniques in their Organic Growing Course (OGC) curriculum which, for the first time this year, includes an online Georgia Organic’s classroom component.
