Wellness Wednesday with Sheri: Embracing the Real You

In case you haven’t heard the big news yet, Oprah and her fabulous team of experts that we all know and love will be taking over the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta THIS WEEKEND! Suze Orman, Dr. Oz, Nate Berkus and more will be coming to our backyard to share all of their secrets on how you can live your best life (click here to see Gayle King’s feature in our very own issue of Best Self Atlanta this month!)

In this month’s feature, Gayle King told Best Self Atlanta that one of the best pieces of advice she ever received was from Maya Angelou, who said, ‘When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.’

How do you show people who you are? If someone followed you around throughout the day, would they know what you value? What morals and principles you try to live by? What your hobbies are?

If the answer is ‘no’, then the chaos of everyday life may be bringing you far from your roots. I take a holistic approach to health coaching, and through my programs, I help people get back to their center, so they can live a full life filled to the brim with health and happiness. To get back to your roots and start embracing the real ‘you’ again, take a look at this Circle of Life below, and consider which areas of the circle need some attention. Is your home environment disorganized, causing you to feel overwhelmed? Are you in a career that is unfulfilling, or even juxtaposed to things you value?

Consider three things you can do to make your Circle of Life complete, and check out Best Self Atlanta’s website regularly for tips, articles and ideas that will help you bring out the best version of your self.
