She's a trainer, a nutritionist, a health advocate and a mom. Jillian Michaels seems to be an unstoppable force of nature. "I think the reason I've resonated in this space is because I'm honest," she admits. "You may hate me, you may love me, but know that what I'm telling you is my truth. I think people respect that." Whether appearing at speaking engagements or brashly encouraging the contestants on NBC's "The Biggest Loser," Jillian is nothing if not passionate. It's this passion and knowledge that she is taking with her on the road for her "Maximize Your Life" tour, which stops in Atlanta this month. "I've always loved that personal connection with the audience, that face-to-face dialogue with no filters."

You're going to learn how to lose weight and how to keep it off. I'm going to show you how to build a healthy lifestyle. At the core it's about connecting with your passion. I'll take you through learning how to believe in yourself, to be able to achieve any goal that you set for yourself and getting the action plan and the tools for how to actually achieve it. It's about understanding how to get out of your own way and how to make your goals and dreams a reality.

Best way to balance home life and work
I'm still working on that perfect balance to be honest. Right now I'm very fortunate because my kids are young so I'm able to take them with me, whether it's on the set or on my tour.

Best advice for weight loss
Look up the calories in foods once. I promise you won't forget—you eat the same 20 things. Once you have an idea of how many calories are in the foods you're eating, you've got power!

Best source of inspiration to be fit
It seems that when I was in my 20s, it was a bikini. When I was in my 30s, it was my career, and I'm not there yet, but as I approach my 40s, it's my family.

Best accomplishment
Bringing my daughter home. That may sound odd, but it was one of the most difficult processes I've ever been through. (Jillian and her partner adopted a little girl from Haiti and are also parents to a baby boy).

Best thing you've learned from becoming a mom
To remember that life is a gift, not a chore, and always find the beauty in things. My son finds beauty and amazement in everything - what an incredible way to experience the world.

Best activity on your bucket list
Go for a run on the Great Wall of China or get a blessing in the Ganges River.

Hands down, my kids. Kids make you want to be a better person, a better mom and a better role model.
