Each May for the past six years, local company Choate Construction has hosted Cars & ‘Q for the Cause, a car show and barbecue meal to support national efforts to fight cystic fibrosis. CEO Millard Choate began supporting this cause more than 25 years ago when his daughter Emily’s best friends, Leanne Rittenbaum, was diagnosed with CF. Today, Leanne’s father Scot Rittenbaum is the executive director of the Georgia Chapter of the CF Foundation, and the two families stay committed to the cause year-round. Join 400 attendees on the evening of May 30 to check out 70 classic cars and bikes, as well as dinner, live music, a raffle and cocktails. Tickets start at $15, and if the cause speaks to you too, keep an eye out for Choate’s and the CF Foundation’s other fundraising events throughout the year.
