If you love the look of false eyelashes but don’t feel like putting a pair on every day or you’d love to simply skip the mascara part of your makeup routine, then eyelash extensions may be a fit for you.

I recently took a trip to Deka Lash Decatur to receive my first set of eyelash extensions, just in time for my engagement photo shoot. That location was the closest to me but there are also convenient locations in Chamblee, Roswell, Marietta, and Johns Creek.

Once I arrived at the modern chic studio, I was quickly checked in and taken over to my station. Each section has a comfortable lounge chair for you to lay on while your extensions are carefully applied by your lash artist. All you have to do is relax and enjoy the process. It’s the perfect time to catch up on a podcast or listen to a new album. I also appreciated the added perks that are available, like a plush blanket in case you get cold and calming aromatherapy.

In terms of the look you want, there are various ones to choose from, everything from wispy to cat eye. I chose to keep it natural, which still added plenty of flair. Once the extensions were applied (the process took around two hours), my artist explained to me how to care for them and make them last. She even gave me a little tool kit to help keep my extensions in pristine condition.

The look was exactly what I needed to make my eyes pop in my engagement photos and the extensions lasted for over two weeks!

Whether you have an important event coming up or you just want an extra dose of glam for everyday life, eyelash extensions are definitely the way to go.
