My Southern Comfort: Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint

GA JunkI love fried green tomatoes – both the food and the movie.  If a restaurant has this dish on their menu, chances are I’ll be one of the first people in line to try them!  Tomatoes are commonly known to be high in vitamin C and contain fair amounts of potassium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin A and vitamin B.  I try to think about this every time I bite into my favorite fried up dish ;)
When I heard that the new eatery on the block Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint was serving up this Southern Starter, I knew that my Friday night diner plans were pretty much set.   According to their menu the tomatoes come with herb goat cheese, sliced sweet onions, okra croutons and basil oil – is there anything better?
