This slow-cooker entree recipe comes from Brittany Woodard, author of local food blog “Britt’s Blurbs.” It cooks for four to five hours but only take an easy 15 minutes to prep, and the refreshing citrus and rosemary add a flavorful punch to your summer dinner plate. Enjoy!
Ingredients
4 organic chicken thighs
1/2 cup organic chicken broth
1 large orange
1 small orange
2 fresh rosemary twigs
Instructions
Spray a slow cooker with organic, non-stick cooking spray. Lay the chicken thighs on the bottom of the slow cooker.
Pour in the chicken broth. Zest the small orange over the chicken thighs. Squeeze the fresh juice of the oranges into the slow cooker.
Cut the rosemary twigs in half and lay in broth. Season with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper. Cook on low for four to five hours.
