The advice that I would give to anyone in their 20’s, 30’s or any other age is to not take your mental, physical and emotional health for granted.

Most people don’t think twice about this because they are healthy and capable in the moment. It isn’t until one gets symptoms or diagnosed with a health condition or illness that we begin to take things seriously and take action to get better. Physical, mental and internal health look different for everyone. One can look perfectly healthy on the outside, yet their body can be sick and unhealthy on the inside.

If we were all educated about nutrition, food, exercise and how to reduce and manage stress we could prevent illnesses before they occur. There are so many things in our life that we wish we could control, i.e. money, love, success. We have been given a blessing that the food we put into our body is one thing that we can control and the right healing foods can prevent or reverse any illness one may have. I am a believer because I myself have been on a healing journey for the last 6 years from chronic illness, including cancer. Being aware and taking action of what I put into my body has had a positive effect on my healing journey. We only get one body so make sure to love and give respect and kindness to your body. Because at the end of the day we know our body best and if we don’t take care of it nobody else will.

The advice I give women and men in their 20’s-30’s is to focus on building and sustaining a strong personal brand specifically in these key areas:
  • Spiritual – God first! Seek Him in all you do, be a servant leader and remember the golden rule!

  • Physical (health and wellness) – you only have one body. It is a temple, take care of it!

  • Mental (continuous growth) – Never stop learning! When growth stops, decay begins.

  • Financial – Be a good steward of your finances. Save, save, save!
