Donna Loomis-Smith talks about the impact she hopes to leave on the world.

Life is not easy and life is not fair as I’ve found out in my 61 years on this great earth and yet I am grateful for it all as it has made me the person I am today. I am a glass-half-full kind of gal—always have been—eternal optimist. However, when things get tough, you dig deep and get tougher. I want my impact in this world to be positive, to be purposeful, to be inspiring and not because of what I’ve done but rather because of what God has done in my life. Give back where you see a need. Put a smile on someone’s face. I am building my amazing tribe of women to lift one another up and it’s been a glorious gift to watch unfold. I want everyone, but especially my girlfriends to say, “because of her I didn’t give up.”

1. What piece of wisdom/advice would you give to women and men in their 20′s-30′s?

We are the average of the 5 people we hang around, choose wisely.

2. What is the best piece of parenting advice you ever received?

Raise your children, spoil your spouse.

3. How do you hope to leave an impact on the world?

I love leaving small deposits in others to help them be better.

4. What is something you learned about yourself during quarantine?

I learned to create healthy boundaries and some permanent ones with others not in a social distancing way, but in a mental health way. I also learned how much I love biographies and documentaries.

5. What is the one thing you’ve learned to appreciate that you didn’t when you were younger?

I’ve learned to appreciate not watching tv and dedicating myself to a healthy life and body.
